Severe thunderstorms moving across Colorado’s Front Range and Eastern Plains could bring damaging hail, winds up to 75 mph and frequent lightning Saturday afternoon and evening.
National Weather Service forecasters issued a severe thunderstorm watch for most of Colorado east of Interstate 25, including parts of metro Denver.

Scattered apple-sized hail, high winds and lightning are possible in Adams, Arapahoe, Weld, Baca, Bent, Cheyenne, Crowley, Elbert, Kiowa, Kit Carson, Las Animas, Lincoln, Logan, Morgan, Otero, Phillips, Prowers, Sedgwick, Washington and Yuma counties, according to the agency.
The severe thunderstorm watch is active until 9 p.m.
