Two men were recovered from Chicago’s waterways Saturday, Chicago police said.
One was found floating and unresponsive in the Chicago River’s north branch near Albany Park, and another was pulled from the water west of Northerly Island, according to the police.
Officers with the marine unit pulled the man from the river around 2 p.m. near the 3000 block of West Argyle Street. He was pronounced at the scene. His age, name and the circumstances that led to his death have not been established.
The other man, whose name and age also unreported, was recovered from the water around 7 p.m. near the 500 block of East Waldron Drive, south of the Museum Campus. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced, police said.
The circumstances that led to his death have not been determined.
