Helge Rasche dead at 33: Eintracht Frankfurt coach dies after car ‘veers off road and smashes into tree’

EINTRACHT FRANKFURT has been rocked after the death of youth coach Helge Rasche.

The U19 coach, 33, died after a traffic accident on Thursday.

Police have confirmed that Rasche’s car veered off the road for unknown reasons.

It is then claimed that the vehicle collided with a tree and the coach died of his injuries at the scene.

There were no other passengers in the car at the time of the accident.

The Bundesliga side confirmed the news on the club’s social media pages.

A statement read: “Eintracht Frankfurt is devastated by the loss of U19 head coach Helge Rasche.

“The 33-year-old lost his life in a traffic accident yesterday. Our thoughts are with his family and friends.”

Tributes have flooded in the for the coach from the footballing world on social media.

A statement from Borussia Dortmund statement: “We too mourn the loss of Helge Rasche and would like to express our deepest sympathy.

“Our thoughts are with him, his family and loved ones. Rest in peace!”

A fan commented: “Our condolences and sympathy go out to his family, relatives, friends and Eintracht. Rest in peace, Helge Rasche!”

A third wrote: “A terrible news. Our sincere and heartfelt condolences go out to his family, friends and loved ones. Rest in peace.”

A fourth said: “Our heartfelt condolences and much strength to all relatives and the entire Eintracht family!”

Another added: “We wish the relatives, friends and the entire Eintracht family a lot of strength in this difficult time.

“We are thinking of you and of “HR”! RIP, Helge!”

Rasche has been working at the club since 2020 and held various positions in the youth teams.

His most recent job was coaching the U19s at the club.

After the accident, Frankfurt have cancelled all youth training sessions and games this weekend.

The U21 clash against FC Gießen will not take place despite being scheduled for a 2pm kick-off tomorrow.
