SAN JOSE — A husband-and-wife duo was arrested after police seized more than $2 million worth of cocaine — a total of more than 37 pounds, authorities said Tuesday.
The arrests followed a several-month long investigation by San Jose police in which they discovered that the couple was running a drug house where they manufactured, transported and sold cocaine base, also known as crack cocaine, officials said. Authorities said the suspects were a 51-year-old San Jose man and a 46-year-old San Jose woman.

Police determined that the cocaine seized had a street value of about $2 million, officials said.
The couple was arrested in San Jose and booked into Santa Clara County Main Jail for crimes of weapons possession, narcotics transportation and narcotics sale, police added.
