Cardi B announced the birth of her third child with rapper Offset on Thursday.
“The prettiest lil thing,” the Grammy winner captioned a series Instagram photos of her, the newborn girl and the rest of her family at the hospital.
The caption also included the date 9/7/24, indicating the baby was born on Saturday.
Cardi B, 31, announced she was pregnant last month after filing for divorce from 32-year-old Offset citing “irreconcilable differences that have caused the breakdown of the marriage” with “no reasonable prospect of reconciliation.”
Despite their turbulent relationship, there does not appear to be animosity between the two, and Offset is included in the carousel of photos at the hospital.
The “WAP” rapper and Migos member wed in Atlanta in 2017. They also share 6-year-old daughter Kulture and 3-year-old son Wave, whose birthday party was attended by both parents last week.
“We think it through, because we do love each other,” Cardi told Rolling Stone in May 2024. “It’s not even about love. We’re best friends. And it’s like, ‘OK. Well, there was a time that I didn’t have a best friend, or I didn’t have a support system.’ It’s not even about ‘How do you leave a partner?’ How do you stop talking to your best friend?”
The newborn’s name was not released.
