A man died after he was found unresponsive at the Downtown Detention Center on Thursday afternoon, according to the Denver Sheriff Department.
Man dies in custody at Denver Health facility
Denver will shatter last year’s record number of evictions as crisis outstrips available rental assistance money
The man was found unresponsive in the housing unit around 4:30 p.m. and an emergency medical team could not revive him, the agency said in a news release. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man’s death will be investigated by the Denver Police Department. His name and cause of death will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
