The eight-month-old was airlifted to Bristol Children’s Hospital but tragically couldn’t be saved and died four days later.

Bridget Curtis, 70, appeared at Swansea Crown Court today.

She pleaded guilty to a charge of causing death by dangerous driving.

Curtis was released on unconditional bail ahead of her sentencing at the same court on November 22.

The horror unfolded at around 11.50am on June 21 after a BMW crashed into Mabli and another pedestrian.

The baby, who was in her pram at the time of the horror, tragically passed away on June 25.

A cause of death was previously given as severe traumatic brain injuries.

Curtis was treated in hospital for serious but non-life threatening injuries along with a passenger in the car.

A second pedestrian struck by the BMW was also taken to hospital but later discharged.

Following her death, Mabli’s parents, Rob and Gwen Hall released a heartbreaking tribute.

They said: “We are absolutely heartbroken by the death of our beautiful baby girl, Mabli.

“She was adored by us and her five siblings, and brought us so much joy in her short life.

“We will always remember Mabli’s beautiful little smile and cherish the time we had with her.

“We would like to thank everyone who tried to help us at such a tragic time; the people who were there when it happened, the emergency services who came to our aid and the amazing staff at Withybush, the Heath in Cardiff and Bristol Children’s Hospital.

“Their strength and support allowed us to focus on Mabli.”
