AN ENGLISH star lit up the Bernabeu in Real Madrid’s Champions League clash with Borussia Dortmund – but it wasn’t Jude Bellingham.
In fact, former Dortmund midfielder Bellingham missed two sitters as the Spanish champions found themselves 2-0 down at home.

Donyell Malen opened the scoring on 30 minutes before Jamie Bynoe-Gittens doubled Dortmund’s lead just moments later.
And Bynoe-Gittens made history as the youngest English player to score against Madrid.
The winger came through Chelsea’s academy before moving to Reading where he made his professional debut.
He moved to Manchester City in 2018 but after two years left the join Dortmund – where he has since scored nine goals in 68 games.
This season is shaping up as a breakthrough campaign for Bynoe-Gittens with his goal in the Spanish capital only adding to that.
Bellingham on the other hand had a half to forget.
He could have pulled one back on when he got onto a lofted cross into the box.
But his weak headed effort easily landed in the arms of Dortmund keeper Gregor Kobel.

Rodrygo rattled the bar minutes later before it bounced out to Bellingham, who also smacked the crossbar.
One fan reacted: “Bellingham with two shocking misses back to back in mins now.”
Another said: “Bellingham missing two sitters.”
Bellingham’s blushes were spared as Antonio Rudiger and Vinicius Junior hit back to level for Madrid.
Vinicius Jr ended the game with a hat-trick while a goal from Lucas Vazquez helped cap off a come-from-behind 5-2 win for Madrid.
