M6 still closed after person killed when lorry crashed into central reservation

The M6 remains closed for emergency repairs after one person was killed when a lorry crashed through the central reservation in Lancashire.

The M6 remains closed for southbound traffic between Preston and Lancaster after a crash involving two lorries and three cars yesterday morning. It has not been confirmed yet when the road will open.

One person died and others were injured after a HGV heading north smashed into the opposite carriageway and hit several vehicles.

The motorway remains closed between J33 and J32 while two lanes are also closed northbound. Diversions have been put in place parallel along the A6.

Elsewhere, the Tube strikes which were set to paralyse London today and next week have been called off after both Aslef and RMT suspended their planned walk-outs.
