I’m more than glad the election is over.
In the last two months, every day brought more and more political flyers, just more trash to deal with. Both sides blatantly lied, misrepresented and misquoted going way beyond exaggeration and political license.
Most, from both parties, went directly into the shredder. I read the ones that didn’t, went to the same place. If both parties would stop fomenting hate, they could suspend partisan politics as they do when bills for their pay raises and better benefits come up. I realize there’s not much chance that anything will change but it did, I’d be much happier and the nation would be a better place to live.
Two people who shouldn’t be president were picked to run against each other. In the past I tried to vote for the candidate most qualified to lead the country. This time, in my opinion, neither of them were qualified. I had to use my sure alternative way deciding which one to vote for i.e., which one will do me the least amount of harm?
This country is in a sad state of affairs, forcing me to pick a candidate the way I did.
