Three people have been injured after a car crashed into a portcabin at a hospital.
Police, fire and the ambulance service were called to Torbay Hospital, Devon, at 10.47am this morning.
The driver was freed from the car but two other people were left trapped underneath.
Devon and Cornwall Police confirmed: ‘The incident is ongoing but the hospital remains open.
‘Both casualties are now clear and being assessed by the ambulance service.’
Torbay and South Devon NHS Foundation Trust posted on Facebook: ‘There has been a road traffic incident at Torbay Hospital. Emergency services are on site.

‘People who are due to attend appointments onsite today are encouraged to use public transport wherever possible and to allow extra time for their journey.’
Buses are currently unable to stop outside of the main entrance of the hospital because of the crash.
Devon & Cornwall Police said in a full statement: ‘We are currently at Torbay Hospital following a collision involving a car and a temporary building.
‘The fire and ambulance services were both also called.
‘Three people have been injured. The incident is ongoing but the hospital remains open.’
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: ‘We received a call at 10.47am today reporting that a vehicle had collided with a cabin at Torbay Hospital, Torquay and there were reports of people trapped. Four crews from Torquay and Paignton fire stations were dispatched.
‘On arrival the driver was already free and clear but two people were trapped under the car. Crews have lifted the vehicle and both casualties are now clear and being assessed by the ambulance service. Crews are still in attendance to assist partners and to ensure the scene is safe.’
