<p id=”par-2_49″><em>The Real Housewives of Potomac </em>cast member was found guilty of multiple charges stemming from a <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/karen-huger-addresses-dui-crash-explosive-rhop-season-9-trailer.html/”>March 2024 single-vehicle car crash</a> in Maryland. During the trial, witnesses testified that Huger, 61, appeared inebriated after the incident and that she told first responders to “f*** off” multiple times, <a href=”https://people.com/real-housewives-of-potomac-star-karen-huger-found-guilty-of-dui-8639972″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a> reported. </p>
<p id=”par-3_30″>“Although we are disappointed in the jury’s verdict, we of course respect their decision and appreciate their time hearing our case,” Huger’s lawyer, A. Scott Bolden, said in a statement. </p>
<p id=”par-4_23″>Huger will be sentenced on Jan. 29. Bolden says he is considering an appeal and “intend[s] to fully pursue justice on her behalf.”</p>

<p id=”par-5_18″>If Huger does serve time, she’ll join a not-so-illustrious list of Bravo stars who’ve ended up behind bars. </p>
<p id=”par-6_46″>Two other women from Bravo’s <em>Housewives </em>franchise have gone to prison. Teresa Giudice from <em>The Real Housewives of New Jersey </em>served 11 months following a fraud conviction. Her then-husband, Joe Giudice, was locked up for three years and deported to Italy in 2019, following his release.</p>
<p id=”par-7_41″>In February 2023, <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/breaking-down-the-sentence-what-led-to-jen-shahs-78-months-in-prison-attorney-duncan-levin-exclusive.html/”>Jen Shah from <em>The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City</em></a><em> </em>was sentenced to 6½ years on wire fraud charges. She’s currently incarcerated at Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas and is due to be released in November 2027. </p>

<p id=”par-8_16″>Bravo isn’t the only network whose reality TV personalities have gotten in trouble with the law. </p>
<p id=”par-9_29″><em>Jersey Shore</em>’s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino spent less than a year at a federal prison in New York following his conviction for tax evasion. He was released in 2019. </p>
<p id=”par-10_84″>Josh Duggar rose to prominence as a member of the supposedly squeaky clean Duggar family, whose TLC reality show, <em>19 Kids and Counting, </em>highlighted their fundamentalist Christian lifestyle. Josh, the eldest son of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, was also active in right-wing political circles. But a series of scandals involving Josh led to the show’s cancellation. In December 2021, he was convicted of receiving and possessing child pornography. He’s now behind bars at FCI Seagoville in Texas with a release date in 2032. </p>
<p id=”par-11_56″>Todd and Julie Chrisley introduced viewers to their wacky and wealthy Southern family in USA Network’s <em>Chrisley Knows Best. </em>But their extravagant lifestyle was propped up by shady and illegal business dealings. In November 2022, both were convicted of various fraud and tax evasion. He was sentenced to 12 years. She was sentenced to seven years.</p>
<p id=”par-12_27″>In 2023, James Timothy Norman of <em>Welcome to Sweetie Pie’s </em>was sentenced to life in prison after arranging the 2016 murder-for-hire of his nephew, Andrew Montgomery Jr. </p>
<p id=”par-13_59″>In 2022, Jerry Harris of Netflix’s docuseries <em>Cheer </em>was sentenced to 12 years on child sex abuse charges. The same year, Geoffrey Paschel of <em>90 Day Fiancé </em>was sentenced to 18 years for kidnapping and assaulting his former fiancée. In 2024, Mike Eloshway, also of <em>90 Day Fiancé, </em>was sentenced to 10 years in prison on child pornography charges. </p>
