Child and man struck by car outside busy pub on Easter in broad daylight crash

A CHILD and man were hit by a car outside a busy pub in broad daylight on Easter Sunday.

The pair were struck down near the Crown and Cushion, in West Bromwich, at around 3pm.

Emergency services responded to reports of the horror, on Lloyd Street, and treated the victims at the scene.

Their injuries were deemed not to be life-threatening.

A spokesperson for West Midlands Police told BlackCountryLive: “We were called to Lloyd Street, West Bromwich shortly after 3pm yesterday after two pedestrians were hit by a car.

“Officers attended to support Ambulance colleagues and carry out enquiries at the scene.

“A man and a child were treated at the scene for their injuries, which were not thought to be life-threatening.

“Enquiries are ongoing and anyone with more information can get in touch via 101 or Live Chat quoting log 2216 of 20 April.”
