JoJo Siwa blasts Kath Ebbs for ‘not telling truth’ about why they split

Celebrity Big Brother star JoJo Siwa has called out partner Kath Ebbs for obscuring what she claims is the truth behind their split.

Australian influencer Kath, 27, previously claimed the Dance Moms star, 21, unexpectedly ended their relationship at the ITV show’s wrap party.

It came after JoJo was at the centre of intense scrutiny over her close friendship with Love Island star Chris Hughes, 32, in the Big Brother house.

However, she has since denied that he was a factor in their break-up and insisted that their relationship is purely platonic.

‘Kath posted a video basically alluding that Chris was the reason we broke up and that’s not the case. It’s not the truth,’ she said.

JoJo has now shut down Kath’s version of events and said it was not her intention to end their relationship at the wrap party.

JoJo claimed she wanted space alone to ‘formulate’ her thoughts, but she and Kath ended up having a serious conversation about their romance.

During the discussion, JoJo said she broke after being grilled and revealed she was conflicted about their future together.

This revelation prompted the breakup, TV personality JoJo said on The Viall Files podcast.

JoJo also claimed she was having second thoughts about their partnership as Kath had ‘broken boundaries’ while she was on Celebrity Big Brother.

She continued: ‘That’s something that, it wasn’t big enough for me to care about, but it’s something that I specifically asked, hey for the twenty days just can it with a few conversations and those conversations actually picked up more. They had in person ones as well.

‘That for me was like okay, I’m ending things anyway, it’s just another reason, another piece of pie on the plate.’ 

Reflecting on the chain of events that ended their relationship, JoJo said: ‘Out of respect for another human in the situation, they have asked me not to speak about it or them. 

‘I told them that’s going to make me seem avoidant of the situation, and I’m not avoidant of the situation. Obviously, a lot of people think that Chris has something to do with it.  

‘Chris does not have absolutely anything to do with it. Chris and I are friends, we have a very great friendship. It’s a very special bond, unlike any friendship I’ve ever created, but my situations are completely unrelated, and that kind of got misconstrued, and that’s hard because it’s kind of feeding a false narrative.

‘They [Kath] said I broke up with them at the wrap party. That’s not entirely the story. The story goes, they had mentioned to production they did not want to come to the wrap party. I said all good, I’m gonna go.’

Before the wrap party, JoJo said she was having ‘crazy thoughts’ and needed to be alone to ‘formulate’ them, so she was not in the right headspace for a heartfelt conversation.

She relayed this to Kath: ‘I was honest about that and I mentioned to them look I know you don’t want to come to the afterparty but I’m gonna go and then I’m gonna go to my hotel, I’m gonna go on my phone so why don’t you go to yours and we’ll reconveine tomorrow morning.’

However, JoJo said her desire to be alone ‘rightfully upset’ Kath.

She continued: ‘They wanted to be with me, but I knew I wasn’t in a place for that. They didn’t wanna go to the wrap party, but they wanted to come to the hotel. I was just like I’m not.’

However, Kath changed their mind and decided to reunite with JoJo, with the dancer’s full support, at the wrap party.

JoJo said: ‘Then something else happened – I got told something else they didn’t want and it kind of made me feel like okay this is very strange, I really don’t like this vibe right now.’

The pair then had a private conversation in a secluded area of the after-party, with Kath asking JoJo leading questions about their relationship

JoJo explained: ‘I was gonna lead the talking, then they led the talking, and all I’m saying to every question they ask is “I don’t know”. Are you this? I don’t know. Are you that? I don’t know. Are you happy in our relationship?’

‘All of a sudden, we’re having it [the conversation] and we’re at the wrap party for Big Brother, I’m getting cussed out. I understand why they’re coming at me and why they’re angry, but I also keep reiterating that I’m not in a place to talk.’

She continued: ‘By the sixteenth time somebody asks you, “Are you happy?” “Do you wanna end things?” You’re just gonna spew your guts, and I honestly said if you ask me tomorrow, I don’t know my answer, if you ask me now my answer is yes.

‘Then that obviously was taken as yes, and it was a yes and whatever. They didn’t wanna be alone, so I said come to the hotel, and we can continue talking.’

However, they ultimately decided to part ways.

Yesterday JoJo was pictured touching down in LA after an extended stay in the UK. However, on Instagram, she teased her plans to return ‘soon.’
