Woman in her 30s found dead in church yard in ‘unexplained circumstances’

A woman in her 30s was found dead at in a village church yard this morning, police say.

Emergency services were called to St Petroc’s church in Bodmin, Cornwall, at around 6.30am.

Police attended the scene in front of concerned early-morning dog-walkers, followed by paramedics.

The woman had no injuries and is believed to have suffered a medical episode, detectives told CornwallLive.

The death is not being treated as suspicious and has been sent to a coroner for an inquest to take place at an unconfirmed date.

Efforts are being made to trace the woman’s next of kin.
