Man fatally shot during fight in Greater Grand Crossing

Police are looking for the assailant who gunned down a man during a fight late Sunday in Grand Crossing on the South Side.

The 40-year-old victim was arguing with the assailant, who he knew, around 11:30 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Normal Avenue when the argument turned physical, Chicago police said.

The unidentified victim was shot multiple times in the body and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The gunman fled the scene before police arrived, officials said.

No one was in custody.
