Map shows UK wet weather hotspots expecting rain every day this week

Put away your suncream and sunglasses everyone – we’re in for some major wet and windy weather next week.
The Met Office has predicted parts of the UK will be drenched by rain every day from Monday to Friday after an unusually dry month.
According to forecaster, there had only been 8.5mm of rain until last Friday, which represents 12% of the monthly average.
Rain and heavy winds hit large swathes of the UK during the evening, leading to most places recording 5-10mm of rainfall.
Monday’s weather map shows rain is heaviest in Scotland
From tomorrow, Bank holiday Monday and the four day working week are predicted to see spells of rain across the UK.
But despite the rain, temperatures are predicted to reach around 15 – 18C daily, with highs of 22C in the south of England.
Aberdeen and Glasgow will see temperatures below 15C for most of the week, but London is set to see temperatures reach 20C and beyond.
Rain will continue to hit the UK on Tuesday
A Met Office spokesperson told Metro this weekend marked a turning point in country’s weather.
They added: ‘There is a change coming in the UK weather this weekend, with more mobility from the west bringing fresher conditions, as well as rain and some windy weather.
‘This means the chance of any funnel cloud or small scale tornadoes diminishes, so no risk over the bank holiday weekend.’
Wednesday will see sunshine and rain
There is also a flood warning in place for Severn Beach outside Bristol.
A large tidal surge is expected including possible onshore flooding due to high water levels, government’s flood alert service has said.
Wet weather continues in Scotland on Thursday
The longer term forecast, from the end of May and the first week of June, also promises more wet weather, particularly in the north of the country.
The Met Office predicts ‘further spells of rain, with showery interludes in-between.’
Strong winds are also expected, particularly in the north and northwest.
However towards the beginning of June, the south will once again face longer period, while the northwest will have more rain and strong winds.
Temperatures are also expected to be above average.
