Fans are certain that Sabrina Carpenter wrote a Taylor Swift-level savage song about her ex Barry Keoghan.
The pop diva, 26, announced her new single – titled Manchild – on Tuesday evening via an Instagram post.
Highly anticipated by fans of Sabrina Carpenter and messy situationships alike, the song is set to drop on Thursday.
The singer shared a vintage-looking teaser video – in which she can be seen wearing daisy dukes, platform shoes, and a tied-up white shirt – hinting at the new song.
She captioned the post: ‘This one’s about you!!’ along with details about the song’s release.
Fans were quick to speculate that the new song is about Barry Keoghan, who Sabrina started dating in December 2023 before breaking up around a year later.
Rumours of infidelity and hard partying swirled around the Irish actor in the wake of the split, though nothing was ever confirmed.

One fan commented on the post: ‘And we know who you are talking about diva’.
The official account for the dating app grindr wrote: ‘We all thought of him didn’t we’.
Another added: ‘DRAG HIM BABE WE CAN’T WAIT.’
One fan chimed in: ‘You better clock that Barry!’
The pair’s much-discussed relationship included music videos, countless break-up rumours, and several social media interactions – and it seems fans are still getting new content even nearly a year later.

The pair broke the internet when Barry starred in Sabrina’s music video for Please Please Please as the love interest, something she later used against him in an on-stage dig.
Performing in Barry’s hometown of Dublin, Ireland, back in March, Sabrina spoke to the crowd at Dublin’s 3Arena, saying that Irish boys are ‘hard work,’ drawing a knowing laugh from the crowd.
The dig came before the pop star launched into Please Please Please, which is also widely believed to have been written about her relationship with Barry.
One source previously claimed to The Sun that Sabrina and Barry broke up because she was ‘fed up’ with Barry’s behaviour when drunk.
Later, unconfirmed rumours that Barry may have been unfaithful to Sabrina were rampant, with the actor going online in December 2024 to plead with disgruntled fans to stop ‘showing up at his Granny’s door.’
Now, it seems – much to the delight of fans – that the drama is still not over, and Sabrina will make sure she gets the last word.
