Bobby Flay Opens Up About His New Romance With Brooke Williamson

Celebrity chef Bobby Flay is cooking up more than just culinary masterpieces this year — he’s also serving up a new love story. The Food Network star has confirmed his relationship with Brooke Williamson, the “Top Chef” season 14 winner, transforming a long-standing friendship into romance. After years of working together on various shows, including “Bobby’s Triple Threat” and “BBQ Brawl,” the pair has officially taken their connection from professional to personal.

Bobby Flay Says He and Brooke Williamson Are ‘Lucky’

In a recent interview with People, Bobby Flay opened up about his growing relationship with Brooke Williamson. “Well, first of all, I’ve been friends with Brooke forever,” he shared. “We shot this show before we started actually officially dating. So it has always kind of been the same for me.”

Both chefs appear on the latest season of “BBQ Brawl,” with Flay serving as a team captain and Williamson returning as a judge — a role she has held since the show’s inception in 2019. Flay added that working with Williamson has always been “fun,” but now that they are dating, things feel “a little bit different. So we’ll see what that brings.”

The “Beat Bobby Flay” star also reflected on how much they have in common. “I love working with Brooke. We have a lot in common. We’re very lucky. We’re both chefs. We both have kids. We’re both parents.” Williamson shares a son, Hudson, with ex-husband Nick Roberts, while Flay has a daughter, Sophie Flay, from his marriage to Kate Connelly.

Flay said the relationship has brought an added bonus — someone to bounce ideas off of. “We have tons to talk about in terms of the things that we love to do… It’s really nice to have kind of a best friend that you’re dating that can also be helpful answering the questions that you have.”

The Food Network Stars Went Public With Their Relationship in March

The romance between Flay and Williamson became public in March 2025, following years of friendship. According to People, a source revealed that “they have been friends for a while and recently decided to jump in.” The insider also shared that Williamson’s 2024 divorce from Roberts may have led to a deeper connection between the two chefs. “Her divorce last year probably gave them some additional shared experiences, and over the last few weeks, love bloomed.”

In early April, Flay made headlines when he surprised Williamson at the No Kid Hungry Dinner in Los Angeles, where she was honored alongside actor Jeff Bridges. The source described Flay’s gesture as “very sweet.” Williamson later posted about the night on Instagram, calling it the “best night ever.”

Before dating Williamson, Flay was in a three-year relationship with Christina Pérez, which ended in June 2024. The chef has been candid about his views on love and marriage on Kristin Cavallari’s podcast Let’s Be Honest, admitting, “I would be interested in a life partner for sure. But I don’t think it necessarily needs the documentation.”
