Oakland is having restaurant deals, dining events all June 2025

Dollar oysters and dinner with the chef! Cheap champagne and something called “Steph Curry Sauce”! These are some of the things you’ll find in Oakland’s month-long promotion, “Summer Affair.”

The June event sees roughly 20 restaurants in the city running dining specials, two-for-ones, tastings and themed dinners. “Summer Affair” is being put on by Savor Oakland, the brand behind the Oakland Restaurant Collective, and many well-known places are participating: Nelson German’s alaMar Dominican Kitchen, Plank in Jack London Square, the upscale Afghan joint Jaji and the New Parkway Theater, to name a few.

“Savor Oakland’s ‘Summer Affair’ is heating things up with a month-long culinary celebration spotlighting the best of Oakland’s sizzling food and drink scene,” write the Savor folks. “From sun-kissed seasonal dishes to refreshing summer cocktails, this is your chance to explore new hotspots, rediscover local gems and indulge in everything from breezy brunches to stylish summer nights out.”

The complete details are posted at Savor Oakland. But just to highlight a couple things happening from now until June 30:

•  ACRE Kitchen and Bar: Every Tuesday oysters are $1 all night long. There’s also a Spanish-themed ham night that’s a “celebration of all things jamón,” with free tapas, from 9 p.m.-late on June 26.

•  Town Fare: The restaurant in the Oakland Museum of California has $5 champagne and cocktail specials with lunch and buy-one-get-one-free tickets to the museum.

•  CoCo Noir Wine Shop & Bar: Pair any $10 glass with a mini snack board for $25 during happy hour (5 p.m.-9 p.m. Wednesday-Thursday and 5 p.m.-7 p.m. Friday).

•  Awaken Cafe & Roasting: Mention “Summer Affair” at checkout and get a second beverage for half off.

•  The New Parkway Theater: In recognition of Pride Month, June 20 will have a showing of “Bound” with an all-you-can-eat-pasta bar.

•  The Caffé by Mr. Espresso: $2 espresso shots all month long if you mention “Summer Affair” at checkout.

•  alaMar Dominican Kitchen: Boiled Gulf shrimp is $22 a pound and comes with a “zesty, signature Steph Curry Sauce.”
