A fire that engulfed a home east of Longmont left one person burned and displaced several others early Friday morning, firefighters say.
Weld County dispatchers received a call about the house fire behind a commercial building near Colo. 119 and Weld County Road 7 just before 3:40 a.m., according to a Mountain View Fire Rescue social media post.
Six people were inside of the home at the time, one of whom was taken to a hospital. It took firefighters several hours to fully extinguish the blaze.
Mountain View Fire Rescue said the cause of the fire was still under investigation as of Friday morning, and the American Red Cross was providing aid to the home’s occupants.
