The very next year, he won his first professional event at the 2014 Nationwide Children’s Hospital Championship. In 2015, he won the CIMB Classic by a single stroke over <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/golfer-adam-scotts-wife-marie-kojzar.html/?swcfpc=1″>Adam Scott</a>. Thomas defended his title in 2016 and won the PGA Championship in 2017 by two shots. He won his second major in 2022. </p>

<p id=”par-4_36″>Thomas and Wisniewski have known each other since college. They met through mutual friends while he was playing collegiate golf at the University of Alabama and she was a journalism student at the University of Kentucky.</p>
<p id=”par-5_63″>The athlete mentioned they were dating in 2017 when he won his first PGA championship telling reporters during a <a href=”https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVh5sUfPoI8″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>press conference</a>: “My girlfriend was supposed to fly out at about 7, and I was like, ‘You need to change your flight to later because I don’t want you to miss this and I feel like I’m going to get it done.’” </p>
<p id=”par-6_16″>Wisniewski did change her plans and therefore got to see her man take home the trophy.</p>
<p id=”par-7_37″>After a few years of dating, Thomas proposed in 2021 and Wisniewski happily accepted. The athlete told <a href=”https://people.com/sports/justin-thomas-says-his-fiancee-is-taking-lead-on-wedding-planning-as-he-gushes-she-makes-me-a-better-person/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>People</a> that asking her to marry him was a no-brainer as she has made him an all-around better person. </p>

<p id=”par-8_50″>“We feel like we already [are married] because of how long we’ve been together and she’s such a, just a great influence on me,” he shared with the publication. “I mean, she truly makes me a better person and every time being around her brings out a better side of me.”</p>
<p id=”par-9_27″>One year after getting engaged, the pair said “I do” during a private ceremony in Franklin, Tennessee. Fellow golfing pro Jordan Spieth served as Thomas’ best man.</p>
