While Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes attends mandatory minicamp, his mother, Randi Mahomes, is hyping up her new business, Sports Parent Academy.
Randi announced last month, “I’m officially launching The Sports Parent Academy. This has been on my heart for a long time, and I’m so excited to finally share it with you.
“Inside, I’ll walk with you through every stage of your child’s athletic journey, what to focus on, what to tune out, and how to show up for them in the best way possible.”
Randi posts videos about the classes from her new home in Texas. The three-time Super Bowl MVP’s mom moved into a brand new house in March, a gift from her son Jackson, 24, Mahomes, 29, and his wife, Brittany Mahomes, 29.
She posted a photo from the front porch and wrote, “Home is where the heart is—and my heart is full! Beyond grateful for my amazing family @patrickmahomes @brittanylynne @jacksonmahomes and my grandbabies for this incredible blessing.
“Being a Mom and Grandi is the greatest joy of my life, and I’m so thankful for the love that surrounds me every day. Here’s to new memories, laughter, and love in this beautiful new home! ❤️.”
After sharing the exciting news, Randi put the family home they moved into when Mahomes was 11 years old up for sale. However, the house continues to linger on the market after two months.
Randi Mahomes Cut the Price of Patrick Mahomes’ Childhood Home
After the big move, Randi listed their family home in East Tyler, Texas, for $285,000 in April. However, she’s since slashed the price to $279,000, Realtor.com reported.
Randi needed a bigger space for her daughter, Mia, 12, and three grandchildren. “It’s bittersweet but it’s time for a change and Mia and I are so excited to have a new place to decorate and make a home and now I have a large space for those grand babies,” she told Realtor.com
“There were a lot of tears and laughter and memories in that house but it’s time to let a new family start to build their dream there now!”
The Mahomes celebrated the Texas Tech alum getting drafted by the Chiefs in the first round of the 2017 NFL draft in that home. Tristan X. Mosher of Coldwell Banker Apex, who holds the listing, is selling the three-bedroom home as “a chance to own a special piece of East Texas history, the childhood home of NFL star Patrick Mahomes!”
Randi Mahomes Announced Her Retirement Last Summer to Focus on Being a Grandmother
Randi announced her retirement from her job as an event planner last summer. She posted on June 27, 2024, “Tomorrow is my last day at the ‘Tree’ Hollytree. 19 1/2 years & TRULY on a roller coaster of emotions especially because Hollytree is my Family too. Could use prayers for this huge leap of faith. Focusing on my kids and being a ‘Grandi’ which i love more than anything.”
Randi is now a grandmother of three after Brittany welcomed a daughter, Golden Raye, on January 12. Golden Raye joins big sister, Sterling Skye, 4, and big brother, Patrick “Bronze” Lavon, 2.
