Fans of the Philadelphia Eagles generally feel the team wins in spite of coach Nick Sirianni.
So that makes Pro Football Network’s ranking of Sirianni as the No. 4 coach in the NFL a topic that could debated among Eagles fans around the City of Brotherly Love this weekend.
Sirianni has coached the Eagles to the Super Bowl in two of the past three seasons and of course took Philadelphia to its second-ever Super Bowl championship this past February.
Though Sirianni is much maligned among Eagles fans, many teams fan bases would love to have him, especially since he helped usher in the Brotherly Shove era with quarterback Jalen Hurts.
Why Is Nick Sirianni Ranked So High By Pro Football Network?
Many Eagles fans give the credit to Howie Roseman for assembling a loaded roster, and PFN rightly points out that Sirianni’s seat was heating up during their late-season collapse that ultimately resulted in a first-round playoff exit in 2023.
Still, Sirianni was fourth — behind ex-Eagles coach Andy Reid, Los Angeles Rams coach Sean McVay and John Harbaugh of the Baltimore Ravens — due to his ability to “maximize the talent he’s been given,” according to PFN’s Brandon Austin.
“Nick Sirianni’s run with the Eagles has been nothing short of remarkable,” Austin wrote. “In just four seasons, heâs led the team to two Super Bowl appearances, won a championship and made the playoffs every year.”
Sirianni was ranked in the top 20 percent among the 25 incumbent NFL coaches ahead of the 2025 season. He is one of only six active NFL coaches with a Super Bowl win, plus he is 48-20 in his four NFL seasons and 6-3 in the postseason which gives him a 70.1 win percentage between the regular season and postseason.
“Love him or hate him, Sirianni is a fiery guy,” Austin wrote. “The players seem to have a great deal of respect for him. Not to mention, the results on the field back him up.”
What Are The Other Coaches Rated On PFN’s List?
The best coaches in football surround Sirianni on the list, since Dan Campbell of the Detroit Lions is fifth. Fellow two-time Super Bowl coach Kyle Shanahan is sixth, Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin — who has never had a losing season — ranks seventh and John’s brother Jim Harbaugh of the Los Angeles Chargers ranks eighth.
Matt LaFleur of the Green Bay Packers and Sean McDermott of the Buffalo Bills round out the top-10.
The Eagles have the benefit of playing two games against one of the least experienced coaches, Brian Schottenheimer of the Dallas Cowboys, and the list’s worst-ranked coach Brian Daboll of the New York Giants. Despite his 2022 NFL Coach of the Year win, Daboll is 18-32-1 in three seasons with the Giants and went 3-14 in 2024.
“Considering how the Giants have regressed across the board, itâs a bit surprising that Daboll made it through another offseason unscathed,” Austin wrote “Weâve seen other coaches get canned for less. However, the front office appears to be holding onto hopes that he can find the magic again. Itâs fair to question whether or not Daboll should return to a coordinator role, where he thrived in Buffalo.”
