ABC News obtained a copy of Bezos and Sánchezâs elegant wedding invitation, which was sent out to guests in May.

The card features whimsical touches, including flying birds, feathers, stars, butterflies, and gondoliers, all set against a crisp white backdrop with pops of pink and blue. Yet beyond the beautiful design, one message stood out loud and clear: this celebration isnât about gifts â itâs about giving back.
“We are excited for you to join us! We have one early request: please, no gifts,” the invitation reads. “Instead we’re making contributions in your honor and with gratitude to you for making the journey to celebrate with us in Venice.”
In place of a traditional gift registry, Bezos and Sánchez instead asked guests to support three Venetian charities, underscoring their commitment to giving back:
“Donations on your behalf are being made to the UNESCO Venice Office to safeguard the city’s irreplaceable cultural heritage, to CORILA to restore the vital lagoon habitats that protect Venice’s future, and to Venice International University to support research and education for sustainable solutions.”
The couple also added a personal note: “This magical place has gifted us unforgettable memories. Our hope is that through these efforts and by you joining us, Venice will continue to inspire wonder for generations to come.”
A-List Guests Heading to Venice
The guest list â rumored to include around 200 people â is already drawing plenty of star power.
Celebrities and superyachts are pouring into Venice this week for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchezâs lavish three-day wedding. The Amazon founder and the journalist have invited about 200 guests to their multi-million-dollar celebration.
The festivities will begin on June 26. They will wrap up on Saturday with a ceremony at a secret location, despite outcry from locals who insist Venice is no playground for billionaires.
According to a report in People, Celebrity arrivals have begun in Venice, with Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner spotted taking a water taxi to The St. Regis on June 24. Photographers spotted fashion designer Diane von Fürstenberg arriving at Marco Polo Airport that day.
Among other guests:
- Tony Gonzalez (NFL Hall of Famer and Sánchezâs ex-boyfriend), along with his wife â and Sánchezâs close friend â October Gonzalez
- Fox Sports broadcaster Charissa Thompson, whoâs been posting from Lake Como

Whatâs more, guest lists from earlier engagement parties on Bezosâ yacht Koru and at Barry Diller and Diane von Fürstenbergâs Beverly Hills home suggest even more star power. Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, and Leonardo DiCaprio are among the names expected.
Since going public in 2019, Bezos and Sánchez have become regular attendees at the Met Gala, Vanity Fair’s Oscars party, and Formula 1 races. The couple is often spotted with celebrities rather than fellow tech moguls.
Venetian Luxury for the Guests
Guests are expected to stay at some of Veniceâs most exclusive hotels, including The Gritti Palace, Hotel Cipriani, and Aman, where rates can top $10,000 a night.
Bezos and Sánchez are sourcing nearly 80% of their wedding from local Venetian vendors, from Rosa Salva pastries to Murano glass by Laguna B. Adding to the magic, Matteo Bocelli â son of Andrea Bocelli â is set to perform at the ceremony.
