Major search underway after boy, 13, went missing near a river

Police are searching for a 13-year-old boy who went missing near a river last night.
Mylo Capilla was last seen at around 9pm on Thursday in Ingleby Barwick, Teesside, near the River Tees.
A large search of the area, which is known as the ‘Muddies’ close to Ramsey Gardens, has been ongoing since then.
Mylo is believed to have been wearing a dark t-shirt and dark bottoms when he went missing.
Cleveland Police have asked people who want to help with the search to speak to officers first.

The force said: ‘While searches are ongoing, officers are reminding members of the public in the area to liaise with them directly and for their own safety not to enter any water.
‘If you have information that will assist officers please call 101 quoting reference number 117649.’
There’s an amber heat health alert in place in some areas of the UK today as a heatwave continues.
The brigade has already seen a 15% increase in the number of incidents this year – more than 280 so far in London – including rescues from strong currents, mud and capsized boats.
Assistant commissioner Pam Oparaocha, said: ‘With warm weather and school holidays on the horizon, we want people, especially young people, to enjoy our waterways safely, and that starts with education.
