The Denver Zoo Conservation Alliance is closing early on Saturday in anticipation of a teen “takeover” event in City Park.
A similar event last weekend led to roughly 300 teenagers gathering at The Shops at Northfield, going into businesses and getting into fights, police officials told Denver7.
The Denver Police Department is aware of several planned events in metro Denver and is taking steps to respond, Denver7 reported.
The Denver Zoo will close at 1 p.m., and anyone who purchased tickets for a later entry can visit in the morning or reschedule their ticket by contacting the zoo’s Guest Care department at guestcare@denverzoo.org.
