She turned heads during a rare solo outing. Vivienne, whom Jolie shares with ex-husband Brad Pitt, typically resides in Los Angeles but has spent significant time in NYC over the past year. As per photos published by Hola, Vivienne dressed casually yet in an effortlessly chic manner.

She wore a white oversized t-shirt paired with off-white pants and matching sneakers. She carried bottles of water and seltzer during the outing, braving the summer heat alone as she made a quick trip to the supermarket.

Vivienne isn’t just in New York for a getaway — she’s been making serious moves behind the scenes. In 2024, the 16-year-old worked alongside her mom, Angelina Jolie, on The Outsiders Broadway musical, a stage adaptation of the iconic novel.

As per People, Vivienne served as a volunteer assistant on the production, and Jolie described her daughter as a “really tough assistant.”

She told People that Vivienne takes the job “very, very seriously.” The mother-daughter duo also attended the 2024 Tony Awards together in coordinating teal outfits, where The Outsiders took home four awards, including Best Musical.

“My daughter Viv loves theater,” Angelina Jolie told Deadline in June 2024. “She appreciates all theater, but she certainly knows what she feels close to and what she responds to.”

Jolie shared that Vivienne had seen “The Outsiders” at La Jolla about five times and kept encouraging her to explore the show. “She was telling me about it, and I had read the book, and I’d seen the film years ago,” Jolie added.

Moved by her daughter’s enthusiasm, Jolie gave the story another look.

“I started really watching the effect it was having on my young daughter and what she was telling me about herself,” she explained. “I was learning what about it was important to her and why it connected so deeply to her.”

While Vivienne remains close to her mother, her relationship with Brad Pitt appears to be strained. Following Jolie and Pitt’s high-profile divorce, several of their children—including Zahara, Shiloh, and Vivienne—have reportedly dropped “Pitt” from their last names.

A source told Us Weekly that Brad Pitt has shared with friends how “deeply emotional” the estrangement has been. “He has made several efforts to reconnect with his kids,” the source said, adding that he sees his twins, Vivienne and Knox, “periodically.” However, “the rest of the relationships are strained. It’s caused him a lot of heartbreak.”
