The Littleton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in bringing justice to a 36-year-old woman whose disappearance and suspected murder happened nine years ago.
Charlene Voight went missing in July of 2016, according to a news release.
The investigation identified her boyfriend, 46-year-old Jeffrey Scott Beier, as a suspect. In 2019, an Arapahoe County grand jury indicted Beier for Voight’s murder, among other charges, the news release said.
Voight’s remains were never found, police said.
Shortly after Voight’s disappearance, Beier fled to Russia, police said. In 2020, Beier was taken into custody in Russia for unrelated charges and later released.
Littleton police are still working to have Beier extradited back to Colorado. Until that time, no court dates will be scheduled.
“LPD is asking for the public’s help in obtaining any and all information related to the disappearance and suspected murder of Charlene Voight,” the news release read. “If you have any knowledge — no matter how small — that could assist in bringing justice to Charlene and closure to her family, please contact LPD Detective Christina Goodman, 303-795-3896, or Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.”
Denver Metro Crime Stoppers is offering up a $2,000 reward for information. Tipsters can remain anonymous.
