A man was killed in a drive-by shooting Thursday afternoon in the South Deering neighborhood on Chicago’s Far South Side.
Reginald Edwards, 21, was outside about 1:20 p.m. in the 9900 block of South Bensley Avenue when a vehicle pulled alongside him and someone inside opened fire, Chicago police said.
Edwards, of the 9900 block of South Bensley Avenue, was struck multiple times and was taken to the University of Chicago Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead at 1:55 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
No arrests were made.
