A person was shot and injured at the Antioch BART station Sunday night, and rail service was interrupted between that station and the Pittsburg/Baypoint station.
A BART spokesperson said Antioch police were assisting BART police with an investigation into the shooting, which took place about 8:15 p.m. The injured adult was taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren’t considered life-threatening, the spokesperson said.
BART service was expected to resume between the two impacted stations in the morning, according to the BART spokesperson.
