Authorities searched the Chatfield Reservoir for a missing paddleboarder Monday evening.
South Metro Fire Rescue, Colorado Parks and Wildlife and the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Chatfield State Park around 4:30 p.m. on a call for a water rescue. An adult was last seen on a paddleboard near the swim beach Monday afternoon, officials said.
Just before 7 p.m., South Metro Fire Rescue announced the situation had moved from a rescue to a recovery operation. Boats and divers searched the water for hours.
