Two teens were shot and wounded on the Dan Ryan Expressway Wednesday afternoon, closing the inbound lanes for several hours.
Troopers responded to a shooting about 2 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Interstate 90 near 43rd Street, where they found two victims, Illinois State Police said in a statement.
The victims, two males believed to be in their older teens, were taken in serious and critical condition to Stroger Hospital and University of Chicago Medical Center, according to Chicago Fire Department spokesman Larry Langford.
Northbound lanes of I-90 reopened hours later after being closed around rush hour due to the investigation, state police said.
