The initial ice that was there between Carrie and Duncan is most definitely thawing in episode 7 of the third season of “And Just Like That.” Joy is blending in with the friend group nicely, Seema and Adam start to gravitate towards one another, and Harry’s secret is out.
The latest episode is built around a birthday party for Charlotte at a time in her life when she’s not feeling too celebratory. Here’s a recap of the episode of “And Just Like That” that was released on July 10, 2025.
Sparks Fly Between Carrie and Duncan

Both are working in different genres and are afraid that their usual success won’t follow them into a different type of writing. They each shared the first chapter of their latest product and are waiting for honest feedback.
This week’s episode begins with Carrie telling Duncan that his first chapter is thrilling, polished, and ready to publish. She loved it and now must wait for him to read her first chapter. Once Carrie irons out the details of Charlotte’s party, she knocks on Duncan’s door again and warns him that noise, Carrie-oke, and other debauchery are on the way. Rather than annoy him, she has decided to invite Duncan to the bash. He agrees to attend, but his mind is actually on Carrie’s writing. Duncan tells her that the first chapter of her latest work is brilliant. She is relieved to learn that her newfound friend doesn’t think that her work is awful.
Warner Bros. DiscoveryWhen the Carrie-oke becomes unbearable, Duncan and Carrie disappear outside for a little while, and it is pretty clear that there is a little more than friendship in the air. Later in the evening, Miranda mentions that the two seem to have caught a vibe and that it’s nice to see Carrie living in the moment and happy again. She becomes very defensive and insists that she is still in a relationship with Aidan, despite all the challenges. Miranda also sensed that something was going on with Charlotte, leaving Carrie no choice but to tell her something. So, rather than reveal the truth about Harry’s cancer, Carrie tells Miranda that Charlotte’s dog is sick.
Anthony Makes a Bad First Impression
Warner Bros. DiscoveryGiuseppe’s family is in town, and Anthony is especially nervous about meeting his mother, Gia. She was born in Buffalo but now lives in Rome. Anthony starts off by insulting her, and it only seems to be downhill from there.
The one person who does get along with Gia is Carrie. The two meet up for lunch and bond over their stepchildren. Gia says that her husband’s 10 other children, who were born before Giuseppe, have all disliked her from the start. Carrie understands what she is talking about since it seems as though Aidan’s youngest son will never accept her. Their lunch ends with Carrie putting in a good word for Anthony.
Harry Tells Everyone the Truth
Warner Bros. DiscoveryCharlotte has really been going through a lot. She has honored Harry’s wishes and kept his prostate cancer diagnosis quiet, except for Carrie. Charlotte needed to confide in someone, and Carrie is like a vault when it comes to secrets. Not long before her party, she spotted Harry shopping with a woman named Amanda, who turned out to be a personal shopper who bought all the great gifts that he gives to Charlotte.
She was okay with the woman doing his shopping, but she wasn’t thrilled to learn that Amanda also knew about his cancer. Charlotte thinks that keeping the secret might be more complicated than dealing with questions from everyone if they were to tell the truth. When Miranda approaches Harry to offer him some advice about the dog she believes is dying, it marks a turning point. Harry gathers their closest friends into Carrie’s kitchen and tells them all that he has cancer and the most significant gift that he can give his wife is support. So he decided to share his diagnosis so that she can lean on her friends when she needs to.
Things Heat Up Between Adam and Seema
Warner Bros. DiscoveryThere has been a vibe between Seema and Adam since the day that they first met at Carrie’s. He is redoing Carrie’s garden, and Seema has been rebuilding her life. Adam is quirky and fun, not typically Seema’s type, but he makes her laugh, something she needs. During a conversation at Carrie’s, Seema’s lashes were falling off, and Adam used his finger to fix them. Fast forward to Charlotte’s party, and Seema walks in wearing an eye patch because the eye that Adam touched is now infected.
The two spend most of the evening on a corner of Carrie’s staircase, talking. He tells her that he is no longer with the yoga teacher, and Seema reminds him that she is single. Adam decides that it is his turn for Carrie-oke, and he serenades Seema and everyone else with a hilarious variation of “Bette Davis Eye.” The two are later seen in a cab, engaged in a passionate make-out session.
