A Chicago man is facing charges after he allegedly threatened a public official through false bomb threats, Chicago police said.
Kenneth Weddington, 28, faces two felony charges of threatening a public official and disorderly conduct related to making false bomb threats, police said. The name of the official being threatened was not released.
Weddington was arrested July 4 in the 200 block of South Michigan Avenue, police said. He is expected in court Monday.
