‘The Real Housewives of London’ Teases Run-In With King Charles in First Trailer

<p id=”par-1_37″>These London ladies are bringing the drama. On Tuesday, the first trailer for <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/tag/reality-tv/?swcfpc=1″><em>The Real Housewives of London</em></a><em> </em>dropped, and it features plenty of the franchise’s signature style and <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/real-housewives-how-producers-trick-stars-to-get-the-most-drama.html/”>made-for-TV chaos</a>, from heated dinners to cutting insults. </p>

<p id=”par-2_28″>“You call The Daily Mail when you go on one date with someone,” one cast member tells another during a picture-perfect garden party that takes an ugly turn. </p>

<p id=”par-3_22″>“You’re jealous of me,” another woman declares later in the trailer (via <a href=”https://youtu.be/_8qXthVbO6E?feature=shared” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>YouTube</a>). “Off you go. Back to Paddington. Back to Paddington.”</p>

<p id=”par-4_53″>There’s even a hint that the most famous family in the U.K. could be sucked into the <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/the-15-most-shocking-real-housewives-fights-ever.html/”><em>Real Housewives </em>universe</a>. In the teaser, housewife Panthea Parker and her lawyer husband Ed Parker head “off to the palace.” (Panthea and Ed attended a party at Buckingham Palace in May, according to her social media.) </p>

<p id=”par-5_18″>In the car on the way to the event, Panthea considers what she might say to the monarch. </p>

<p id=”par-6_25″>“I’m going to go up to the king,” she says. “And I’m going to go, ‘How do you feel about Harry and what he did?’”</p>

<p id=”par-7_42″>“It says, specifically, ‘Do not ask the monarch about <a href=”https://www.cheatsheet.com/news/king-charles-told-people-prince-harry-whipped-started-dating-meghan.html/”>Harry and Meghan</a>,” Ed replies, while looking at what appears to be a program for the event. But he was likely joking about Harry and Meghan being an explicitly banned topic of conversation. </p>

<p id=”par-8_59″>“There are no obligatory codes of behaviour when meeting … a member of the Royal Family,” notes The Royal Household <a href=”https://www.royal.uk/greeting-member-royal-family” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>website</a>. However, it would be <a href=”https://www.trafalgar.com/real-word/guide-british-royal-etiquette/” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>considered impolite</a> to bring up personal topics at an event like one of the <a href=”https://www.royal.uk/garden-parties” target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>royal garden parties</a>, which attract thousands of attendees and are held as “a way of recognising and rewarding public service.” </p>

<p id=”par-9_35″>Panthea shared some highlights from her visit to the palace on <a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DJphS2Hqf6X/?img_index=15″>Instag</a><a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DJphS2Hqf6X/?img_index=15″ target=”_blank” rel=”noreferrer noopener”>r</a><a href=”https://www.instagram.com/p/DJphS2Hqf6X/?img_index=15″>am</a>, including candid photos of Queen Camilla, Princess Anne, and Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh. She also posted a brief video of King Charles speaking. </p>

<p id=”par-10_66″>“If there’s any garden party to go to, it’s the King’s at Buckingham Palace—naturally,” she captioned the post. “The average age? Let’s just say I was the youth ambassador. So I had to bring the vibes—blessing the royals, curtsying at strangers, asking if they were cousins. Thank God no one marched me off to the Tower of London… I don’t think my heels would’ve survived it!” </p>

<h2 class=”wp-block-heading” id=”h-who-is-part-of-the-real-housewives-of-london-cast”>Who is part of ‘The Real Housewives of London’ cast? </h2>

<p id=”par-11_86″>Who’s who in <em>The Real Housewives of London</em>? The cast includes Juliet Angus from <em>Ladies of London</em>, former model Amanda Cronin, <em>Real Housewives of Jersey</em> alum Karen Loderick-Peace, former actor and pageant queen Juliet Mayhew, socialite Panthea Parker and businesswoman Nessie Welschinger. <em>Real Housewives of New York City </em>alum Dorinda Medley also makes an appearance in the trailer. So does Caroline Stanbury of <em>Ladies of London </em>and <em>The Real Housewives of Dubai</em>. She pops up in the teaser to tell Juliet that she needs a facelift. </p>

<p id=”par-12_21″><em>The Real Housewives of London </em>premieres August 18 on Hayu in the U.K. A U.S. premiere date has not been announced. </p>
