Police are investigating a shooting attack that left one man dead and two other people injured Wednesday night in East Garfield Park.
Around 9:50 p.m., officers responded to the 3000 block of West Jackson Boulevard and found three people shot, Chicago police said.
A 42-year-old man was shot in the body and was taken to Stroger Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
A second man, 40, was shot multiple times in the body and was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital in critical condition, officials said.
A 34-year-old woman was shot three times in the leg and was taken to Mt. Sinai in fair condition, authorities said.
No one was in custody.
