A Rockford-area woman who pleaded guilty to illegally performing dental work at a Schaumburg practice was sentenced Wednesday to two years probation and three months home confinement.
Monica Davis, 32, of Machesney Park, also was ordered to pay $1,798 in restitution, after admitting guilt to theft by deception in Cook County court, according Schaumburg police Cmdr. Christy Lindhurst.
Authorities said Davis applied braces to a patient at The Veneer Experts in February 2024, despite having no license to perform such work.
The patient contacted Schaumburg police after seeing a news report about Davis being accused of performing unlicensed dental work in Las Vegas, according to police.
