Music lovers who weren’t able to score tickets for the three sold-out Grateful Dead 60th anniversary shows at Golden Gate Park in San Francisco next month now have the chance to watch one of the concerts on the big screen.
That’s because the Aug. 3 gig by Dead & Company — the popular Grateful Dead offshoot featuring longtime Dead members Bob Weir and Mickey Hart as well as John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti and Jay Lane — will be streamed live on select IMAX screens across the U.S. and Canada.
Tickets are on sale now at imax.com/deadandcompany. The price of admission also includes a commemorative poster and a laminate/lanyard, which will be distributed onsite at the IMAX theaters.
Dead & Company last performed in San Francisco in July 2023, grooving through three sold-out shows at the Giants’ Oracle Park.
