Three girls were injured when a motorist struck them in a crosswalk in Austin on Sunday night, Chicago police said.
The girls — 13, 15 and 16 — were crossing the street at a crosswalk in the 4800 block of West Jackson Boulevard at 7:38 p.m. when a 40-year-old man driving a white SUV going west turned south onto the street and hit them, police said. The three girls were taken to Stroger Hospital in fair condition.
The driver stayed at the scene and was issued citations, police said. No arrests were made.
