Jackson previously announced the engagement in a since-deleted Instagram post, calling Long “perfect” for her. “Doing life with you these last years has been an indescribable whirlwind,” she wrote at the time, as reported by People. “Thank you for letting me be yours. I love you.”

The couple appeared inseparable earlier this summer, even walking the red carpet together for the Tribeca premiere of her film “One Spoon of Chocolate.”

Wedding Plans Were Underway

In June, Jackson told Access Hollywood that she was already planning the wedding. “The dress is being made, the venue has been picked, and the date has been picked by an astrologer,” she said, joking, “because I’m from L.A.”

The daughter of Michael Jackson and Debbie Rowe has been candid about her approach to love. On a 2021 episode of “Red Table Talk,” she shared, “I’m not against marriage… but right now my main thing is my spirituality and my music.”

She’s also opened up about her fluid sexuality, noting in a Facebook Watch series that she’s “dated more women than men” and added, “It has nothing to do with what’s in your pants, it’s literally like, what are you like as a person?”

In January, Jackson celebrated five years of sobriety. Her 2020 debut album “Wilted” marked a new era in her life and music career, followed by several EPs and singles.

Moving Forward After a ‘Hell of a Summer’

Jackson has spent much of the summer touring with Incubus. On July 18, she posted a sunny update to Instagram, writing, “It’s been a hell of a summer so far.”

And despite the heartbreak, Jackson’s fans are already rallying behind her, celebrating her honesty and strength.
