The Buffalo Bills have tons of expectations heading into the 2025 season, with a great season on the horizon. It’s time for the Bills to put away the last five seasons of heartbreak and reach the Super Bowl.
Buffalo is one of the favorites to win the Super Bowl, but they have to get through training camp first. The Bills have been holding practices at St. John Fisher University in Pittsford, New York, which are open to fans.
Josh Allen Shows Off New Look
On Friday, the Bills took their practice to a new level, scrimmaging at Orchard Park. Buffalo holds a training camp session at their stadium called the Blue & Red practice, which many fans attend.
This is the first time many Bills fans got to see the new look team in person. And they were treated to a special surprise.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen ran out of the tunnel wearing the new Bills red helmet. Buffalo announced in July that the Bills would be bringing back their old-school red helmets for one game.
Bills Bring Back New Helmets
According to an article from Buffalo Bills writer Alec White, the team will wear its red helmet against the New York Jets in Week 18.
“The Bills will wear their red helmets for the Week 18 game against the Jets to celebrate the final regular season game at Highmark Stadium, allowing fans a chance to relive the nostalgia before Buffalo opens the new Highmark Stadium next year,” White wrote. “The bold, striking red helmets feature the classic blue and white striping with white facemasks, the team wore from 1987-2001. The announcement was made in a thrilling video, showing highlights of iconic Bills moments, underscoring the deep connection between the red helmets and the team’s legacy.”

Even though Buffalo will only wear their red helmet twice, it will be neat to see them in it again. The Bills have some of the best uniforms in the NFL with their awesome red, white, and blue jerseys and white and red helmets.
When the Bills fans see the red helmets on their players again, it will bring back some memories. The Bills went to four Super Bowls from 1990 to 1993 wearing the red helmets. The only issue is that the Bills lost all four Super Bowls in a row. Losing to the Dallas Cowboys twice, the New York Giants, and the Washington Redskins, now known as the Commanders.
Hopefully, this season is different and Buffalo can claim a Super Bowl trophy in the year they bring back the red helmet.
Buffalo will take the field for the first time Satruday, August 9th, against the Giants for their first preseason game, which means the regular season is almost here.
