There’s no rivalry in football quite like the one between the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bears. As one sided as it may be, the two teams battled it out last year in two games that came down to the wire.
Ben Johnson is the new man in charge as the former Detroit Lions offensive coordinator stayed in the division. He’s been part of the NFC North since 2019. While this will be his first year experiencing the Packers vs. Bears rivalry, he’s already seen it all on social media.
Green Bay Packers Fans Don’t Hold Back on Caleb Williams Failed Net Throwing Drill
Jordan Love threw a dime at Packers Family Night that sent the crowd home happy. There’s no team that does “family night” quite like the Packers, but his throw was next level. On the other side of things, second-year QB Caleb Williams has his work cut out for him.
On just a regular day in training camp, Williams missed all four balls he threw into the net. Bears reporter, Josh Buckhalter, shared the video that lasted 10 seconds. Williams may have had more chances before filming began, but he was visibly frustrated at the end.

Keep in mind, Williams is likely only ten yards away from the netting. With a low, middle, and high target, the 2024 No. 1 overall pick came up empty on all of his throws.
For an NFL quarterback to miss those throws, it sent social media into a frenzy. One fan called out Williams, “He was terribly inaccurate last season. 10th worst in 25 years beyond 10 yards.” This led to Buckhalter confirming, “This was his first time through the drill (he nailed it next time).”
Plenty of Packers fans rushed to the comments, with one including a video of Love’s family night performance.
The Packers vs. Bears Rivalry Continues to Heat Up
December 7 and 20 are the two dates for the rivalry games this season. The December 20 matchup will be held in Chicago for the team’s lone Saturday game of the season. Playing the same team twice in a 13 day span is no joke, especially for a rivalry dating over 200 games.
“How are you a pro QB missing that bad,” this fan asked. Someone else chimed in, “This is hilarious,” while one individual questioned, “Why even post this.”
Buckhalter was trying to spin it into a positive as Williams had Case Keenum on his side. Keenum has been in the league since 2013. The Bears reporter wanted to prove that Williams “has been grinding and wants it”, but Packers fans couldn’t care less.
“Packers fans, let’s laugh together” someone said with exactly 91 laughing emojis. Another added, “Bears fans still using a 5 year old clip of Love missing the net are in shambles.”
In such a heated rivalry, Packers fans weren’t going to let this one slide. One fan included the “Juuust a bit outside” gif as a tribute to Bob Uecker. Even in the MLB, the Milwaukee Brewers have a slight advantage on the Chicago Cubs to hold the best record in all of baseball.
