Historical heritage grants
Santa Clara County Historical Heritage Grant applications are now open for fiscal year 2026. Supported by County Park Charter Development Funds, a total of $785,549 will be awarded to projects that involve the stabilization, preservation, rehabilitation, restoration or interpretation of historic resources within a publicly accessible park in Santa Clara County.
Grant applicants have until Thursday, Oct. 23, to submit projects. Eligible organizations include public agencies and nonprofit corporations in Santa Clara County. The 28 parks operated by Santa Clara County Parks are not eligible.
Two hourlong online workshops are planned to provide information about the program and the application process. Prospective applicants are strongly encouraged to attend a workshop before preparing a grant application packet. Each workshop will contain the same information. The dates are Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, at 10 a.m. and Thursday, Aug. 21, at 1 p.m.
Applicants must contact grant administration staff at grant@prk.sccgov.org to register for a workshop and provide their name, the name of their organization, a sentence briefly describing the proposed project, their email address, and the desired workshop date.
