Manchester United match abandoned after horror injury as club give update

Manchester United’s National League Cup game at Tamworth was abandoned after midfielder Sekou Kone suffered a serious injury.
Providing an update on the player, United said in a statement: ‘We can confirm Sekou is conscious, stable and communicating with United’s medical team.
‘He has been taken to hospital, as a precaution, for further checks. Everybody at the club wishes him a speedy recovery.’
