YouTuber Mark Ferris is left blushing on a first date on Channel 4 tonight, as he makes an unintentional double entendre to his dinner partner Chris.
The content creator might be familiar to some, as he’s close friends with fellow YouTubing vloggers Zoella and Alfie Deyes.
With 669,000 subscribers to his YouTube account and another half a million on Instagram, Mark is on tonight’s episode of First Dates hoping to find love, after a history of heartbreak and no official boyfriend (for now at least!).
In a first look clip exclusively shared with the Metro, Mark, 34, sat down for his first date and asked his maybe-Mr-Right Chris, a 42-year-old globe-trotting cruise brand manager, whether he had ever been on a date before.
In the first of a series of blunders, Mark realised his mistake (Chris is in his forties and so has almost certainly been on a date…) and quickly clarified he means *first* date, not just a regular date.
Chris explained he probably hadn’t been on a blind date since he was at university.

Undeterred, Mark ploughed on, telling Chris: ‘For so long, I tried to be someone for someone else. So now I’m 100% myself. I go in balls deep, guns blazing.’
As Mark blushed, realising the unintentional innuendo in his comment, he added: ‘Take the first thing I just said out. I go in guns blazing.’
We will have to tune in to Channel 4 tonight to see where, if anywhere, the date could go next for Mark.
Presided over by maître d’ and host Fred Sirieix in the London restaurant, Mark told the cameras he’s very much a romantic on the hunt for true love.

Speaking in the confessional to the production team, Mark said: ‘I’m a massive romantic. I’m a Libra.
‘In a coffee shop. I’m like, all these bloody imaginations of just meeting someone, like, oh my god, I’m gonna go into a library – I don’t even read – bending down, bumping heads or reaching for the same thing.
‘I can’t help it. I know I’m so delusional, but that’s the sort of love that I aspire to have.’
First Dates is at 10pm on Channel 4 and you can catch up on Channel4.com.
