
Director James Cullen Bressackâs latest adrenaline-charged action feature âThe Workoutâ is gearing up for a theatrical release this year.
Bressack, who recently directed “Darkness of Man” and “Hot Seat”, is celebrated for his collaborations with action greats like Bruce Willis, Mel Gibson, Jean-Claude Van Damme, and Steven Seagal, takes audiences on a high-impact revenge journey. According to THR, The story follows Army Ranger Wyatt Park (Peter Jae) and his pregnant wife Becca (Galadriel Stineman) as a seemingly routine workout video shoot turns into chaos during a mob hit. When Becca is killed, Wyatt and his brother-in-law Levi (Josh Kelly) vow vengeance, capturing every moment on camera for the child who survived.
Shot with gritty visual style and cinematic muscle by cinematographer Bryan Koss, whose credits include “Hot Seat” starring Mel Gibson, “Fortress” and “Survive the Game” with Bruce Willis, and Inside Man with Emile Hirsch and Lucy Hale, “The Workout” pushes the found-footage format into explosive new territory.
