At least one person was stabbed Tuesday at Staunton State Park in Jefferson County and the suspect is on the run.
The number of people injured in the stabbing was not included in a social media post from the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office that said the agency is on-scene.
An air and ground search is underway, officials said.
Officials said the suspect is a white, clean-shaven man in his 30s with brown hair who is 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He is wearing jeans and a plain gray shirt.
Anyone who sees the man should consider him dangerous and call 911.
Colorado State Patrol, Golden Police, Arvada Police, Lakeside Police, Airlife, a regional SWAT team and the sheriff’s office SORT and drone teams also are responding.
This is a developing story and will be updated.
