Leandro Trossard has put an end to speculation over his future by agreeing to a new contract at Arsenal, according to reports.
There have been rumours throughout the summer that Trossard could quit Arsenal for a fresh challenge in search of more regular minutes, two-and-a-half years after joining the club from Brighton.
Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich had been exploring a possible move for Trossard while scouring the market for a replacement for Leroy Sane, who left to join Galatasaray back in June.
It’s understood there has also been strong interest in the 30-year-old forward within the Premier League.
But Trossard has reportedly been unreceptive to the prospect of leaving Arsenal and ‘there are no significant developments’ regarding the Belgian’s potential departure, according to The Athletic.

The report claims Trossard and Arsenal have now struck an informal agreement during positive talks between the two parties and the winger is set to receive a salary increase ‘in line with his valued role’ at the Emirates.
However, Trossard’s deal will not be extended beyond its expiration of 2027 at this stage.

Mikel Arteta opted to start Gabriel Martinelli on the left flank for Arsenal’s Premier League opener with Manchester United, with summer signing Noni Madueke replacing the Brazilian on the hour-mark in Sunday’s 1-0 win.
Trossard was among Arsenal’s four unused substitutes at Old Trafford and will no doubt be desperate for minutes in the Gunners’ second match of the campaign against newly promoted Leeds.
The attacker had been struggling with a groin problem prior to Arsenal’s trip to United, which he suffered during the side’s pre-season clash with Tottenham.

Since swapping Brighton for Arsenal in January 2023, Trossard has racked up 28 goals and 23 assists in 124 appearances across all competitions for the north London outfit.
During an exclusive interview with Metro earlier this month, ex-Arsenal striker Alan Smith encouraged the club to keep hold of Trossard amid speculation he could be moved on.
‘I would be tempted to keep Leandro Trossard because he’s a versatile player who’s done well and scored important goals,’ Smith said.
‘I don’t think you’d want to lose him. And the same with Martinelli actually.
‘Martinelli didn’t have the best of seasons, but I think you definitely want to keep him.’
