Two Rams Voted Top 25 Players Under 25 In Anonymous Survey

The Los Angeles Rams had the 9th youngest roster in the 2024-25 NFL season. The younger players were key to the Rams’ success, enabling the team to advance to the NFL Divisional round thanks to their performances.

The Athletic released an anonymous survey from front office executives, scouts, and NFL coaches that ranked the top 25 players at or under the age of 25.

Two Rams Pro Bowlers were voted in the anonymous poll, including an offensive and defensive player.

Mike Jones organized the answers from the anonymous voters and jotted down what made these young stars.

Wide receiver Puka Nacua finds himself in the top 25 under 25 for a second time. Nacua made his first appearance in the 2024 survey, being voted at the 23rd best player under 25. In the most recent release, the former BYU Cougar is now at the 18th at the age of 24.

“Even though a knee injury limited him to 11 games in 2024, Nacua nearly topped the 1,000-yard mark, finishing with 990 yards and three touchdowns on 79 catches. The year before, Nacua used textbook route running, versatility and sure hands to take the league by storm by recording 105 receptions for 1,486 yards,” Jones wrote for The Athletic.

With the departure of Cooper Kupp to an in-division rival, Nacua will be the main target for quarterback Matthew Stafford.

The Rams signed six-time Pro Bowl wide receiver Davante Adams to the mix, which could allow Puka to have some breathing room and beat his defender, leading to more receptions.

Pro Football Focus ranked Puka Nacua as the fifth-best wide receiver heading into the 2025-26 season.

Rams EDGE rusher Jared Verse makes his first appearance in the Athletic’s annual top 25 under 25 survey, being polled at the 22nd spot.

“With a huge hole in their defensive line left by Aaron Donald’s retirement, the Rams drafted Verse in the first round out of Florida State last season. Verse delivered in the form of a banner year that included Defensive Rookie of the Year honors after generating 76 pressures (second most in NFL history by a rookie behind Nick Bosa’s 81 in 2019), 4.5 sacks and 66 tackles,” Jones wrote.

Verse won the DROY award in a strong LA Rams defensive line, beating out teammate Braden Fiske — who finished third in the award voting.

The former Florida State Seminole recorded 2 sacks in the 2025 NFC Divisional round against the Philadelphia Eagles, who have one of the best offensive lines in the league.

Now entering his second season in the league, Verse expects to continue building off his rookie year.

The DROY told Rich Eisen that he had a low number of sacks last season, but expects to get more sacks in the 2025-26 season.
